Paul Da Silva

My good friend and colleague of many years, Richard Dawson, passed away peacefully at his home in Bern on the morning of November 5th, 2007.

Dick’s following contribution – produced in November 2005 – is a tribute to his professionalism and his devotion to culture. BZ

Enough works of non-fiction about Switzerland have been written in English to fill a good-size library. But comparatively few English-language novelists have given at least a part of their works a Swiss setting, perhaps the most notable contemporary author to do so being John Le Carré.

The latest to join this select band is a former British musician, Paul Da Silva, whose “Love on the Verge” trilogy of spy thrillers is set in various parts of Switzerland. The second was published in 2005 by AuthorHouse (ISBN: 1420816306).

In Bern, Paul Da Silva spoke with SIS contributor, Richard Dawson.
