Hello, and welcome to Bob’s Blog. This is the place where I offer very personal opinions and observations about Switzerland and Swiss life, or report on things that may not fit into the other categories on the website. New items appear irregularly and as they come to me.

This is a beautiful country and we want to talk about that “picture postcard” aspect of Switzerland. But we are not propagandists. Switzerland has its blemishes and idiosyncrasies, and some of them can be downright irritating. I will comment on both sides of Switzerland here, and will not shy away from being critical and opinionated if it seems necessary.
